If you're interested - RIP Fidel Castro...

 That is of course 'Retire' and not 'Rest... in Peace'  to Castro...quite an achievement by the old boy who can still breathe in this life despite the efforts of every US President bar none since JFK to rub him out...five decades of dogged defiance...seemingly impervious to hundreds of CIA inspired assassination attempts each more ludicrous than the previous and of course he's still around despite US financial and military assistance to any rag-tag Cuban or Latin American paramilitary group so long as 'We hate Castro ' was printed on their helmets. If you agree or not with the way he ran Cuba..it is testament to Castro's strength of character that he  maintained  a Marxist regime within pissing distance of the USA for fifty years..and of course he is one of the few revolutionaries left who has no need to sport a  Che Guevara T-Shirt...they walked the walk together as friends and comrades-in-arms in the early years..love him or loathe him..respect.

And for those who may point to abuses in Cuba...I agree, his revolution was violent and their were many human rights abuses in Cuba..as there still are today by the USA...as a result of the embargo and the injustices inflicted upon the  inmates at Guantanamo Bay...
