50 years old and what now?... Certainly, a realization that I am now significantly nearer the end of my life than the beginning..a no-brainer of course when viewed objectively through the perception of a twenty or thirty year old... but the internalised emotional enormity of that statement  cannot be underestimated when you are that old man..but what to do..sit on my arse, slow down and wait for the reaper...no way!

Rather like a New Year...turning 50 has given me the best reason ever to make resolutions..the next few decades will be my most active and productive or alternatively kill me in the process...

Resolutions

Get some serious writing done...some brilliant ideas for new screenplays and three yet to complete...

Re-draft my first novel 'Doppelgangster' and complete my second 'Killing Pigs'

Hawk my somewhat outrageous sit-com around production companies hopefully not scared by the subject mattter in episode 1..

Wax my chest - (P helped me with that one tonight...she must have been a sadist in some past life judging by the glee with which she set about the task.).

Love the adorable P more each day...she is my heart and soul..

Gather my kids and wider family around me...in the grand scheme of things..they're the only things that matter

travel even more...see the parts of the world I haven't been to yet...South America, Central Africa and Australia..
