Given the outrageous profits accumulated by the Banking Industry in recent years amassed mostly by flaying the skin from the backs of proles like you and I... isn't it just fucking brilliant to watch HSBC, Barclays et al crapping in their collective pants at the mere thought of any form of governmental ownership of part of their industry...despite the Darling and Brown charm offensive yesterday concerning the Northern Rock nationalisation I'm not so sure that the City considers the playing field still to be level...and why should it be so...given that those of us who pay taxes are helping to keep Northern Rock afloat why shouldn't we all get some benefits from our investment. Instead of pandering to the High Street banks' cosy financial cartel why doesn't Darling allow Northern Rock to lead the market with financial incentives for new investors, cheaper loans, easy pay mortgages, social housing initiatives...Force the rest of the robbing bastards to compete with Northern Rock in helping the society of which they are a part instead of lining the pockets of their super-rich investors and directors...'people not profit at the Northern Rock!'

Was I asleep ..not again..sorry...I had the same dream..you know the one where we have a Labour Government..of the people, by the people, for the people..cradle to the grave and all that tosh..and life was good.
