Man versus Beast...

It was perhaps less than co-incidental that some boffin or other at Manchester University should have conducted a piece of research on T.rex and published it today of all days...trying to hitch a ride on the clamour caused by my own original and unique research  mapping the correlation between intellect and scrotum scratching  in Theropods published yesterday on this site.. my groundbreaking theory which demonstrated beyond doubt that T.rex could never have evolved beyond a grunting heaving killing machine since it was unable to scratch his bollocks has been well received by the intellectual community at the golf club and must surely be  recognised soon by the scientific world at large. My theory  has now been given even greater credibility since it is endorsed by a notable paleontologist of my aquaintance who confirmed that in fact T.rex did not even have bollocks..at least not visible ones..and so could never have scratched them even if he'd  evolved arms like a gorilla, or even invented a scrotum scratching stick.

Anyhow..this Manchester boffin has discovered that T.rex could run slightly faster than a Premiership footballer...his paper was not specific about which Premiership footballer Tyrannosaurus could outrun but the rumour is that Steve McClaren has asked the FA to find out if Tranno ...as he will no doubt be christened by the SUN...is available for selection for England now that Rooney has broken his foot...at least if the game is going tits-up he could eat the opposition goalie...

The best the Metro could do was Tyrannosaurus Becks.

As for endorsement, I think you may even make it into the Boneyard (http://boneyardcarnival.wordpress.com/) blog carnival next weekend! I will be sure to let you know when we visit.
